2150 KEITH DRIVE (THE HIVE)
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

This 10-storey office building, located in False Creek Flats, will include nine levels of mass timber situated over a concrete base. The building will be constructed with cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels and glulam timber columns, braces and beams. The design eliminates the need for an interior concrete core due to the exterior wooden braced-frame system.
When completed, the building will be the tallest braced-frame mass timber project in North America and will employ an innovative seismic resistance system. CHM provided peer review services of the Alternative Solution in support of the exposed mass timber structure.
