The new Atlantic Science Education Centre building is a five-storey building containing wet labs, academic and lecture spaces, office space and features a central atrium. The science priorities of the facility are to understand, protect and sustain Atlantic freshwater and coastal ecosystems.  

CHM was retained as the Fire Engineer to develop the Alternative Solution in support of the exposed mass timber structure in the central atrium and adjacent spaces within the building.
